Today XQ attends a Malay Engagement~ as grand as a wedding~First time attending a Malay Engagement/Wedding, very sua gu...
and there's a gift for every guests too, like Chinese Wedding~This is at her home, there's alot of yummies on the floor, with deocrations~ i'm not sure what they are discussion about, but most probably is the customs/ give blessings.

XQ was "invited" to be part of the website as the whole drama is about: an era where low class people are considered...TRASH, where XQ fits quite nicely into, as his reality friends and relaticves are treated worst tham trash...*XQ: crying* *David: sayang*

XQ in Noise Photography Competition

XQ has joined Noise Singapore Photography Category~

When/If it's shortlisted, we'll let the whole world know about it~!!

For those who can't read chinese:
It's about "Life as a Cockroach", they(cockroaches) lives in the city with us but they are casted aside and being killed ruthlessly... so they hide in drains/holes/dark places where they can squeeze into...and are forced to appear only late at night... they have no warm bed, one to turn to when in need...what they have went through...no one will ever understand... they dreamed to be pampered and loved...but dream will be always a dream...because... I'M XiaoQiang
(XiaoQiang in Chinese context is widely known as cockroach)

XQ DEBUT PUBLICITY

XQ's 第一次 gave to Creative Technology... The event was held there, at their huge lobby, it's a Chinese Cultural Event, therefore a lot of Buddhist Charity Groups were there doing their charity sale of vegetarian food~

This is our stall~ we were surrounded by vegetarian stalls...This is our posters~ 1 for Ice-Cream another for Cotton Candy~ YUMMY!
Ok start work~ we started pasting magnets onto the container of the cotton candy, as a gift for customers~ there were over 70 magnets and 4 hands...There's 3 of us there initially, the other pair of hands went arranging the cotton candy

How can we forget to display my proud works of XQ figurines~~! Behind the namecards are the competition photos tt's i've been talking about, will post the photos when we submit~ The 2 figurines in front are my 2 favourites~
This is another thing we did there, TAKING PHOTO WITH XQ~~ First we need a camera and a models to showcase~
Next we connect the camera to a mobile printerAdjust some settings...

TA DAAAaa~!! Instant printing~ It's a postcard too~

Here's the proud result~This is a preview of what's coming next for XQ...this too~ so keep your eyes wide open for these, when you are anywhere...
because XQ is EverywherEHere are some curious kids~ not only the kids are curious, people of all ages came asking me "that's cute, what's that?" "did u make these?" "how much is this?"
There were people asking the price for the figurines, our polo tees and photographs/postcards, basically everything on display~~ I can dare say the crowd loves it~ and the publicity was a success~! YAMMMM SENGG~!

we (XQ and i) really had fun at the event~especially the process of the production and preparation, though it was hard work and i did everything within a week, including the website... beta version available now~~! I'm sorry these 2 months not been updating often as XQ's been slacking at home and i'm busy working, we'll find time again to make interesting photo stories~ promised~!
There's a lot of ideas for XQ, especially on it's website and publicity, and since i'm the only 1 doing it and XQ's hands and legs are too short to help... everything will progress at a much slower rate... i'm looking for volunteers interested to help~

1. publicity (need a lot of hands and legs for this)
   
2. creating website content (animations, games, photos)
3. marketing (looking for opportunities for XQ)
   
4. production (figurine making, stickers, magnets, polo tees...and more other merchandises)

i promise you it'll be a very fun and fullfilling process working on any of the category above as i've personally when through it all myself~

Preparation for Event

this week's been very busy, all for tomorrow~ got to prepare posters, sticker designs, polo tees, taking photos, making postcards, make new XQ clays... phew....

today Sam Joey and me, got together to prepare for topmorrow's big day for XQ~ hope the response will be good~! *cross fingers*

here's the tedious process of cutting the stickers and then stick on the magnet then cut out one by one...

here's the stack which took us 1hr 30min to finish...

here's the 3 different designs~the centre piece is the limited edition of the limited edition, cause only have 24 the rest have more than 30~

here's Samuel~ the photography editing our photos of XQ to be printed on postcards with his very sleek and powerful mobile printer~

SAC's XQ~

yesterday nite i made SAC's XQ till 4am...

this is the proud result

most most detail work i've done so far~ i hope they like it~ i definately love it~~~

it's XQ, carrying backpack going on trekking... expression is determination...not evil look...
there's a reason why i drew tt expression, well look at the 1st and 2nd picture, tell the difference? One is frowning and the other is smiling, both add together, u get a determine look~actually got a meaning to it:
HE WHO ARE WILLED WITH DETERMINATION WILL REACH HIS FRUITS OF LABOUR
tt's y it's a slope, with grass saturated on top, and there's sticky mud below, to show the difficutlies to overcome before you reach ur goal.

container is bought from action city, moss(simulating grass bought in Art Friend), ground is clay....so the whole model is very heavy....learn alot from doing this model, next time need to buy foam to lightened the weight and save clay too~
total hrs spent....around 8hrs
