My name is Jie Ying and I’m 17 this year. I am currently taking Diploma in Food Science in Nanyang Polytechnic. Reading and surfing the net took up most of my free time.
2. How do you get to know XiaoQiang (XQ)?
I know XQ though Stomp when David started a thread to promote XQ. http://talkback.stomp.com.sg/forums/showthread.php?t=17945 Curiosity makes me open the link.
3. What’s the first impression XQ gave you, andwhy?
It’s really amazing to see how a little cockroach can be so cute. The photos, in which David made into a story, by adding of caption, are really nice and that what make me continue reading XQ blog. I’m hook to XQ since then :P
4. Where would you like XQ to appear in, in nearfuture?
(eg: story books, comic books, merchandise, clothes, toys…etc) Clothes, comic, games, hp accessories, greeting cards

It reminds me of cockroach, because of the name. But it’s really cute.

Can you tell us a bit about youself?
My name is Jack and I am 24 years old. I am currently a Singaporean studying for a degree in Tourism & Hospitality in Adelaide, Australia. I like to watch television programmes and read anything that is humourous and reflects real life. In my free time (which I have a lot of in Adelaide), I like to watch Jacky Wu's variety shows, movies and DVDs and certain animes.

How do you get to know XiaoQiang (XQ)?
I got to know XiaoQiang while reading a blog that displayed 'the supportor of XQ banner' and I got intrigued by it ever since I clicked on it. It can be said that it is by conincidence that I got to know about the wonderful world of XQ and the great works of David.

What's the first impression XQ gave you, and why?
My first impression of XQ is that it can appeal to many people (local and international) and I thought that it has already been made into a comic like 腊笔小新 (Crayon Shin Chan). After further reading of XQ and David's website, I realised the vast potential of XQ. But I'm not sure a comic in the mould of 腊笔小新 is the direction David wants for XQ. I really admire David's creativity skills by making an insect that most people are afraid of and hate into something that is cute and funny.

Where would you like XQ to appear in, in near future? (eg: story books, comic books, merchandise, clothes, toys…etc)
Maybe a regular comic strip in a local newspaper or teen magazines in addition to the ones already appearing in ZB. With the increase of the exposure of XQ to other people in Singapore, subsequent merchandise like t-shirts, water bottles, car ornaments can follow.
Another direction XQ can take is by producing soft toys, pillows, decoration items, table lamps, a XQ clock like the screensaver available in the XQ website and etc. can be sold in shops like Giftland. Awareness of XQ can be spread through the internet community and slowly popularise it thoroughout the country.

Welcome to the XQ family Jack~! Sorry took so long to update, got to line up haha, so many festivals on Dec. Really wanna thank you for supporting XQ, even you in Australia can know of XQ, tt's really amazing. Jus wanna ask u which blog did you see my banner? Please continue to support XQ~!!

Almost a yr since i started this blog, the journey was amazingly fun and interesting, even got to know a few new friends out of this. My name is Tristan ( or shuangyuren for my nickname) . im 15 yrs old student, a very laidback(or lazy) guy, also a fan for anything japanese.

How do you get to know XiaoQiang (XQ)?
I get to XQ through the comics in Lian He Zhao Bao, and i went to the address given. Then from its website, I found the blog. This is my first encounter with this little cockroach.

What's the first impression XQ gave you, and why?
Well, I was quite impressed to its creator. He is able to transform a pest that most people hate to something so funny and cute ! Then when i read the entries in the blog, my impression of XQ got better, he is such a interesting and funny cockrach!!

Where would you like XQ to appear in, in near future?
(eg: story books, comic books, merchandise, clothes, toys, etc)
I would like to see a variety of merchandise of XQ, like its keychains and HP accessories. It would be a great plushie for kids,and maybe its mascot at carnivals !! If possible, maybe XQ can have its own online games etc!

Can you tell us a bit about youself?

I am 24 years old this year and I am trying to figure out what I wanted to be in life. I don't have any hobbies but I do have a goal now, is to silm down! Going to lose that 4 kgs! I am a happy person when with friends. I can't be left alone, if not my thoughts would run wild!

How do you get to know XiaoQiang (XQ)?

I get to know XQ by ZB Sunday's Now comics section. I laughed when the boy wanted a pet and then it's a XQ!!! And then your blog http://xq-everywhere.blogspot.com , I knew it thru sonikbyte.com when 10 Asia Blog Award are being nominated. So I click and found out more about XQ.

What's the first impression XQ gave you, and why?

First impression when the name XiaoQiang came to my mine is a cockroach. I was feeling a bit frightened cuz I am afraid of pests! Then I begin to like him cuz U created him more like a pet, not a pest! But of cuz, I wouldn't have the REAL XQ.....

Where would you like XQ to appear in, in near future?
(eg: story books, comic books, merchandise, clothes, toys, etc)
I would like to have the HP accessories, the HP chains, figurine, stickers, magnets, notepad, t-shirts, bookmarks, HP screen saver, tunes. Comics too! Animations like more to education type, catch little children's attention and also the parents would know lor! Something like the SHI WAN GE WEI SHEN ME!

Hmmm... Not that I can think of now. Maybe your website still not fully exposed yet. And then hor.. I can't see the animations lei!!!
